Once an industrial town, Barrhead’s situation in the rural landscape of Renfrewshire has made it an attractive residential suburb of Greater Glasgow. Yet, there is a still a strong sense of community in Barrhead and our church enjoys good relations with the churches of other denominations in the town.

On 1 May 2016 the doors of the old red sandstone building were closed for the last time after 112 years.
The building required major repairs, the cost of which would be too much for the congregation to raise. However, the congregation are happy in their new accommodation.

Here you will find traditional Methodist worship (with a Scottish flavour) where the praise is robust and the Gospel faithfully presented by the circuit superintendent minister or a methodist local preacher. The church is always warm and comfortable and if you are visiting or have come to live here you will find a warm hearted, welcoming congregation who will make you feel at home.
